DeliciousRecently, our caterer suggested serving Earth Cafe mini cheesecakes as the dessert for our reception. Believe it or not, I hadn’t even thought of it!! Our desserts are similar to ice-cream cakes, in that they need to be refrigerated to keep their shape over long periods of time (they’re vegan, raw, & I hadn’t thought of them as wedding desserts). Also, I’ve fallen in love with so many traditional wedding cakes I’ve seen & sort of figured them an obligatory part of wedding decor. Well, move over traditional! What about the absolutely irresistible concept of having a dessert bar!? Now that I’ve been turned on to this theme, I may have to adopt a new obsession! I think mini-Earth Cafe cheesecakes, surrounded by other colorful vegan treats will be hot like wow, enough to make even the most SKEPTICAL carnivore sing. Whaddya think!?:

I love the idea of a dessert bar! Chances are, only about 50% of your guests. at most, will love the flavor of a wedding cake. But if you have the variety. everyone will leave happy!
You cannot go wrong using Earth Cafe cheesecakes at your celebration.
We very much enjoyed, by the way, the two pieces of cheesecake you brought us in the airport. You two will have to come visit us soon, with or without cheesecake.
This idea could make the grumpiest of guests happy. I love it, I’m sure your desserts plus a whole dessert bar based around them will wow your guests. Now I’m gonna’ ask my caterer for something like this too, terrific idea.
A dessert bar is sooooo a great idea!! There is something for everyone and people will probably walk away loving something they’d never tried before. The vegan options will surely surprise folks who don’t expect them to be as tasty as other desserts.

Thanks so much everyone!! Now, I just have to find a vegan BAKER who can pull this off~! Otherwise, we may just make a bar out of our mini raw cheesecakes, but hopefully we’ll have some interesting vegan surprises or two. Kristine, wasn’t it your website that originally hipped me to Sweet & Saucy’s incredible dessert bars? I look at about 2,000 sites a day so I’m not sure but I know you always have something sassy goin’ on!

I’m almost shocked to hear that you hadn’t considered serving your own vegan cheesecakes. Silly woman, it’s a given! What an incredible resource you already have right at your fingertips. You have so many delicious looking and beautiful items shown on your website, I am sure that with or without the input of other baker(s), you will be set. I think a dessert bar is a fabulous idea. Yummmmy…
