Hi family I’m back!! Yes, I’m still recovering from our whole deal. Yes, I STILL have a living room full of boxes, tablecloths, dishes, chargers, trees, dying flowers, candles & other effects. Yes I think we’re crazy for buying so much without knowing where we would possible store it (725 dishes, glasses, candle holders, etc. – oh my!) Oh & yes I need a honeymoon badly right about now (& it’s coming! I booked plane tickets AND a beachfront room in Maui, a beach-close one in Honolulu for 9 days for UNDER $300 BOTH OF US for! Whoohoo…updates on this coming soon)- but back to the matter at hand. So I am still in recovery, therefore have been a bit m.i.a. for a while & oh there’s that small little thing called the COMPANY we both have to run that has gone severely neglected (what can I say, we aim to change the world, one raw vegan dessert at a time) but nonetheless dear peeps, I have not forgotten you!
While we’re waiting for wedding photos & video from the goddess Toki & Mike of AmericanMarriagemovie.com, I’ve decided to share with you one passionately beautiful, yet hopefully reasonably affordable (& in the wedding industry, this is such a relative term) dress of the week. Amidst my own wedding planning process & dress crisis, I happened upon some GREAT resources, so once a week, I’d like to share them with you!
I figure there is no better place to start than with the boutique-owner who saved my own wedding life & sent me a fabu couture dress on a moment’s notice that perfectly fit the bill: Ms. Paige of Mabrial’s bridal. I guess I’m a Pronovias groupie, because my eye went to another Pronovias number immediately upon skimming through her site.:

I’m still deciding how I feel about champagne-colored gowns. They’re very modern & “in” right now! For me personally, I think I’m still a fan of a more classic white, however the train, along with the simplicity & elegance of this dress I find to die for! Also, what’s MOST impressive to my little bargain-hunting heart is the price tag for this designer dress!! Mabrial’s bridal offers couture gowns that would normally sell in the thousands, at DEEP discounts, including this fancy number, for only $350!! Run, don’t walk to http://www.mabrialsbridal.com/ & tell the dear, sweet Paige, that the VeganBride sent you!
(P.s. The fabric of this dress looks very similar to that of the dress I ultimately wore & purchased from Paige. The fabric was sooo sleek, so silky & so stunning that Paige herself swore it was silk & was concerned it therefore wouldn’t work for the veganbride! However much to both our amazement, it turned out to be 100% man-made polyester, but EVERY BIT as heavy, & gorgeous as any fabric I’d ever seen. Hopefully this one is in the same class!)
